The frost post from January, handed to social the morning it published. Three angles on the same piece, each written to the platform it is addressed to, each waiting on somebody to decide.
A split pipe is a four-figure claim. The ninety seconds before you ring anyone is what decides whether it becomes one.
We wrote down what to do in those ninety seconds: the stopcock first, then the tap the frozen run feeds, then heat from the tap end backwards. Never a flame.
At six on the morning it hit minus fourteen, twenty-nine people searched our site for something we had never written down.
By quarter past seven it was published. Here is the page, and here is why it exists.

The set was drafted from the entry that had just published, not from a brief somebody wrote about it afterwards.
Each variant carries a label for the line it takes. The same news, three different reasons to care about it.
LinkedIn gets it in the first comment, which is how people post links there. Facebook gets it in the body, where it counts against the character limit. That is a decision per draft, not a global setting.
The link is tagged per variant, so the clicks three weeks later come back attached to the angle that earned them.
A draft goes out from somebody’s own connected account when they press the button. Copy it into the platform by hand instead and you can record that too, so the queue still tells the truth.

The ratio is the product. Not fewer people — fewer of the steps that never needed one.
The per-variant tag is the whole point of a set. You stop guessing which framing works on your customers, because the clicks arrive already sorted by the angle that earned them.
One number per angle, and it changes what gets written next. That is the entire reporting requirement.
Post without you. A draft goes out from a person’s own connected account, or gets marked as posted when they did it by hand.
Reach a platform you have not connected. It drafts for the accounts that are linked, and says plainly when a connection has lapsed.
Pretend a post can be recalled. Once it is out it is out — Munin records the permalink, it does not hold a leash.
